Staff members of Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Homes are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.
Dennis joined the staff in 1981 after graduation from Defiance College and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Dennis and his wife Lisa live in Oregon and have two sons, Michael and Matthew. He is a member of the First St. John Lutheran Church finance committee. He has served as a board member of the St. Charles Hospital Foundation and Oregon Economic Development Foundation. He is the past president of the East Toledo Oregon Kiwanis, the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Funeral Group of Trust 100. He also served as president and trustee of the Oregonian Club. His other affiliations include the North American Swiss, East Toledo Club, Eagles Landing Golf Club, Crews Nest Yacht Club, and Clay Athletic Boosters. His hobbies include boating, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Elizabeth “Lisa” Pavley
Lisa has been a member of the staff since 1989 as a licensed funeral director. She currently manages our Advanced Funeral Planning and Family Services programs. Lisa is a graduate of Clay High School and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Defiance College. She and her husband Dennis reside in Oregon and have two sons, Michael and Matthew. Lisa is a member of the First St. John Lutheran Church and has served/currently serves on the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce, the East Toledo Family Center, East Toledo Senior Center, Oregon Schools Foundation, James “Wes” Hancock Senior Center, Eastern Community YMCA, Bay Park Auxiliary and St. Charles Auxiliary, and the Lutheran Homes Society, East Toledo Senior Center, Toledo Refining Company CAP and Oregon Historical Society boards.
Manager Oregon Chapel/Director
Larry has served as a local funeral director for over 30 years and is currently the manager of our Oregon Chapel. He is graduate of Defiance College and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science (1981). He and his family regularly attend Christ United Methodist and St. Ignatius Catholic Churches. Larry has served as past president of the Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Oregon Community Family Coalition, Eastern YMCA Board, Treasurer of the James Hancock Senior Center, past Vice President of the Board of Directors of Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, past Chair of the Promedica Bay Park Foundation Board. Larry is currently on the Board of Trustees for Promedica Bay Park Hospital and is on the hospital’s Business Council, President of Good Grief Northwest Ohio, President Elect of the Little Sisters of the Poor Board and a current board member of Eastern Maumee Bay CC. Larry is responsible for our memorial design team and his unique ability to custom design family memorials can be seen in many local cemeteries. He and his wife, Jane, are Oregon residents and have three children, Rachael, Lauren, and Jacob.
Director/Computer Support Specialist
Matthew is the youngest son of Dennis and Elizabeth. He has proudly assisted the staff since 1998, working part time while attending school. Matthew graduated from Oregon Clay High School in 2004 and was a member of the DECA Marketing program. Immediately following, he went on to Kent State University and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a focus on interpersonal communication. Most recently, Matthew graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2010. He now works full time as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Aside from prior education, he is an alumnus of the Phi Kappa Tau National Association, a member of First St. John Lutheran Church and a current Board member for The East Toledo Family Center. He previously was a member of the Oregon Schools Foundation and the Clay High School Athletic Boosters.
Manager Millbury Chapel/Director
Jason has served the local community as a funeral director since 2009 and currently manages our Millbury Chapel. He was raised in Elmore and graduated from Woodmore High School in 2002. Jason earned a Bachelor Degree in Marketing and Human Resources from Otterbein College in 2006. Jason graduated cum laude with a Bachelor Degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2007. Following graduation, Jason served his apprenticeship with Elden A. Good Funeral Home in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is an active member of Zion United Methodist Church in Elliston, where he serves on the administrative council. He is also involved in the Oregon/Northwood Rotary Club and is a board member of the City of Toledo Cemetery Commission. Jason is also a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Ohio Funeral Directors Association, Funeral Directors Association of Northwest Ohio and the National Eagle Scout Association.
Brett has worked part time with the funeral home since 2003. He was raised in Oregon and graduated from Clay High School in 2004, where he was a member of the DECA Marketing program. Brett attended Owens Community College on a full Athletic Scholarship and obtained an Associates of Applied Science Degree with a specialization in Business. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2010 and received a Bachelor Degree in Mortuary Science and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a current Board member for the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce where he is currently serving as Treasurer. Brett is a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Since becoming licensed, Brett married Heather (Placko) in 2013 and purchased their first home in Oregon. He enjoys golfing, spending time with his family, gardening and volunteering in the community.
Terry has been a member of our staff since 1965 and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 40 years. He Retired in 2012, however continues to work occasionally at the funeral home. He was born and raised on the East Side and is a 1965 graduate of Waite High School. His long-standing commitment to our community has earned him the Kiwanis Frederick Hansen Humanitarian Award, the Exchange Club's Book of Good Deeds Award, and Toledo Area Metropark's Oak Tree Award. He is also the recipient of the Toledo Area Boy Scout Council’s Silver Beaver Award, a member of the Waite High School’s Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame, and in 2009 was selected Person of the Year by the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce. He has served as president of the East Toledo Club, Oregonians, Friends of Pearson Metropark, Funeral Directors Association of Northwest Ohio and Memorial United Church of Christ. His other affiliations include Paragon (Lotus) Masonic Lodge, Black Swamp Bird Observatory. East Toledo, Oregon Jerusalem and Ohio Historical Societies. He and his wife Mary have two children, Rob and Meredith and five grandchildren, Harrison, Vivek, Hamilton, Addison and Anderson.

Julie was born and raised in the Birmingham Neighborhood on the east side of Toledo. She graduated from Holy Rosary Grade School, Cardinal Stritch High School and Owens Community College. Julie resides in Oregon with her husband, Steve, who is a Supervisory Deputy United States Marshal. She has one son, Adam, and two step-daughters, Captain Rachelle Miller, USAF and Rebekka Miller. Julie is a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She is also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Wauseon Post.
Lisa was born and raised in Oregon and is a Clay High School graduate. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, she worked as a computer programmer for 10 years and n interior designer for 3 years. She then "retired" to be a stay-home mom to son Aaron. Her many years of volunteer work have included serving the Northwood School system, Calvin UCC, Heritage Christian Church and establishing and running Northwood's only Cub Scout Pack. Lisa is an active member of Heritage Christian Church and currently resides in Northwood.
Advance Planning Specialist
Joy joined our firm in 2006 as a Certified Advance Planning Specialist and Family Services Director. She is a proud lifelong east Toledo and Oregon resident. She graduated from Waite High School. She and her husband Patrick currently reside in Oregon. They are the proud parents of four grown kids. Joy is a member of the Oregon Senior Center Board, Bay Park Community Hospital Auxiliary and the East Toledo Women’s Christian Connection.
Blaque joined the firm in 2004 after being employed by Foodtown Supermarkets. He grew up in East Toledo, graduated from Waite High School and has been a Northwood resident for 32 years. He has been happily married to Joan Bauman for 33 years.
Corinne joined the firm in 2006. She is a proud graduate of Northwood High School. She currently resides in Oregon with her husband Bob and has three daughters, one step-daughter and one step-son. Corinne has 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Bev was born and raised in east Toledo. She is a graduate of Waite High School. After high school, Bev worked at the U.S. Post Office for 36 years, delivering in east Toledo and Oregon for most of her career. Bev married fellow Waite graduate Kevin Sawyer and have been together for 33 years. They have two children, Brianne and Angie. After retiring from the post office, she became a volunteer at St. Charles Hospital where she is involved in the Auxiliary, and is also active with the Waite High School Alumni Association.
Janice has been a staff member since 2010. She was born and raised in east Toledo. She attended Raymer Elementary School, Waite High School, and The University of Toledo.
Debbie was born in Nashville, Tennessee. She moved to Toledo in 1955 and was raised on the east side. Debbie attended Navarre Elementary School and Graduated from Waite High School. She married her high school sweetheart Hal Schultz and together they have four children and five grand children. After school, she worked for five years at St. Vincent Hospital as a Physical Therapy Aide. She retired from The Pharm in Oregon, where she was the Union Steward and served on the executive board. She is a member of the St. Charles Auxiliary and is very active with many member of the Waite High School class of 1969.
Bud joined our firm in 2010. He went to St. Louis High School and Clay High School. After graduation, Bud joined the Air Force as an instructor in jet engines. He married his high school sweetheart, and together they have four children, twelve grand children, and thirteen great grand children. Bud was a distributor for Hartz Mountain Pet Supplies for 35 years, owned a company that manufactured vanilla and flavorings and retired in 2001. He is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Christ Dunberger American Legion Post 537.
Walter has been a resident of Oregon since 1981. He is a graduate of Macomber Vocational High School. He is also a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired letter carrier. Walter has been married for 47 years to Karen.
