Caroll M. Komisarek, 88, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Genacross Lutheran Home. She was born in Osseo, Michigan on December 21, 1932 to Paul and Lillian (Carr) Hoy Sr. Shortly after graduating from Woodward High School, Caroll married the love of her life and traveling partner, Eugene Komisarek on October 16, 1953. She worked at the US Postal service for 19 years and volunteered as a Cub Scout leader for several years. She enjoyed traveling and was proud to have visited all 50 States including Hawaii 3 times. Caroll also loved going on trips to the casino, going on cruises and tending to her flower garden. What she cherished most was spending time with her loving family.
Caroll is survived by her children, Dale (Becky) Komisarek, Diane (Paul) Fillion, Duane (Amanda) Komisarek; grandchildren, Deedra (Matt) Finley, Cassandra (Jeremy) Ruth, Bryan (Kelsey) Fillion, Jacob, Dylan (Lexie), Kelsie, Karly Komisarek and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Lily, Carter and Lincoln; siblings, Nancy Davis and Paul Hoy Jr. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene; parents, Lillian and Paul Hoy; step-father, Will Langley; and brother, Hobart Hoy.
Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH 43616 on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 3:00 pm-8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
