David E. McKinney, 87, of Oregon, OH passed away Friday, November 11, 2005 in Orchard Villa Nursing Home. David was born in Nelsonville, Ohio on July 13, 1918 to Harry and Goldie (Anisley) McKinney. He was a US Army veteran of WW II. Before his retirement David was an operating engineer at the C& O Docks for 50 years. He was a member of Damascus Lodge #643 F&AM, Scottish Rite and Zenobia Temple where he was a member of the Director's Staff and the Legion of Honor. Surviving are his daughter, Marlene (Dan) Hanely and grandson, Ron (Lynn) Hanely. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Vera and brother, Anisley McKinney. Services will be private and there will be no visitation. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Shrine Hospitals Transportation Fund or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
