Dwayne A "Bud" Solly, 86, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 9, 1934 to Richard and Dorothy (Ankney) Solly. He attended Macomber High School and graduated in 1953. Bud worked at LOF for 37 years, before retiring in 1991. After he retired, he lived life on his own terms. In his free time, he enjoyed crafting and woodworking. Bud loved his family and they meant everything to him.
Bud is survived by his children, Linda Golupski, Cathy (Dan) Solly-Lewis and Dawn Solly; grandchildren, Christie (Jay) Krumlaw, Jenifer Haynes, Daniel (Amber) Haynes, Jaime (Scott) Pearson and Jonathan Haynes; great grandchildren, Kaylyn, Allyah, Reyann, Jaicie, Alexis, Shelbie, Tyler, Carleigh and Zachary; great-great grandchild, Rhett; and special friends, Mike and Jama Fioritto and Mike and Jessie Henneman. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie; and parents.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon Chapel, on Sunday, February 7 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Bud's name can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
