Jack Barnes, 80, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 15th 2017. He was born April 4, 1937 in Boone, North Carolina, to Birtha (Norris) Struzak and Bynum Barnes. He was a proud ironworker for Local 55 for over 20 years. Jack lived a life unlike most, he was a full time R.V.'er for the last 20 years and was a true Southern gentleman. He could whistle like a songbird and always had the best stories to share. He loved the outdoors and loved to fish. Jack is survived by his mother; daughter, Trina Barnes; son, Jeremiah (Catrina) Barnes; 9 granddaughters; and 1 great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his father. According to Jack's wishes, there will be no services. Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
