Sharon R. Day, 72, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009, at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. She was born in Toledo on August 31, 1937, to Howard and Millie (Smith) Vining. Sharon was employed as a manager of George's Place on East Broadway and Idaho Sts. For 20 years before retiring this year. Surviving are her daughters, Kim ((Matthew) McGuire, Kyle (Danny-deceased) Cox and Rachel Day; son, Kevin (Marcy) Aston; brother, William (Loretta) Vining; sister, Barbara Vining; grandchildren, Jason (Olivia), Alex and Shane Aston and great-grand-daughter, Kyra Joy Aston. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Franklin Day; sister, Carolyn Cashen and son-in-law, James A. Williams. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
