Obituary

Virginia L. 'œGinny' Lau, 82, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 29, 1928 to Rudolph and Nellie (Friend) Zunk. On July 17, 1947, she married Frederick 'œFritz' Lau. Ginny was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, where she taught Sunday School and was active in Circle. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, bowling, and golf. Ginny and Fritz enjoyed music and dancing for many years. Ginny enjoyed traveling with her husband to the Bob Hope Classic in Palm Springs for over twenty years. Her true passion was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, while demonstrating a deep faith in God. Virginia is survived by her husband of 63 years, Fritz; daughter, Brenda (Bill) Hart, of Warren, Ohio, son, Scott (Kristi) Lau of Curtice, Ohio; grandchildren, Carrie ( Gregg) Howard, Eric Hart, and Justin Lau. Ginny is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bill Zunk. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Friday, June 17th from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, June 18th in St. John Lutheran Church, Williston. Interment will follow at Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, St. John Lutheran Church, or charity of the donors choice.
