William R. Parker, 72, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Bill was born in Monroe, Michigan on June 3, 1936, to William and Virginia (Griffin) Parker. He was a U. S. Naval Reserve Veteran. Bill had worked as a machinist for Sun Oil Company for 31 years and retired in 1997. He attended Leymone Baptist Church and was a member of Luckey American Legion. Bill participated in Sun Oil bowling and golf leagues. Favorite pastimes were fishing with his brother, Gary and attending his grandchildren activities. Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara; children, Laura (Andy) Chanak, William Scott (Jan) Parker, Karen (Steven) Campbell, Michael (Tammy) Parker; grandchildren, William, Brittany, Jake, Macy, Nicholas, Luke, Sophia, Emily, Drew, Candi, Colby; brother, Gary Lee Parker; sister, Patricia Spivey-Bigs. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Parker. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
