Obituary

Abelardo Anzaldua, 55, of Millbury, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital. He was born in Detroit , Michigan to Eduardo and Maria Noemi (Rodriguez) Anzaldua. Abelardo was a talented painter and enjoyed fishing, gaming, cookouts, and "rocking the neighborhood" with rock, Motown, Mexican and country music. Throughout life, Abelardo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and served as a mentor and counselor to many. Surviving are his wife Betty; children Christopher (Tina) of Bronson, Michigan, Edward (Rachael), Carmen, Louis (Amber), Jeanna (Chris), Michael, and Elizabeth "Liz"; mother Noemi Gray; step mother Nichol; brothers Albert, Tony, Mayo, and Arnold "Jumbo" Anzaldua; grandchildren Kelly, Jonathan, Nicholas, Noah, Sabrina; Eddie, Angelo; Anthony, Aliyah; Breanna, Crisoforo, and Adrianna Abela. He was preceded in death by his father Eduardo, and brother Michael. Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 4:00 pm in Cedar Creek Church , 29129 Lime City Road in Rossford. The family will receive guests in the church beginning at 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. A fellowship gathering will follow at 6:00 pm at the Glass City Boardwalk, 27820 East Broadway in Moline . Memorial contributions to the family would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are being handled by the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home.
