Adeline Y. Wilkes, 97, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Dubois, Pennsylvania on April 26, 1924 to John and Bertha (Kozelski) Remeslink. She was a member of Holy Rosary until its closing and most recently a member at St. Ignatius. Adeline was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, enjoyed going to the casino, playing her Pick 3 Lottery, cooking and traveling. What was most important to her was her family who will miss her dearly.
Adeline is survived by her daughter, Geraldine; grandchildren, Alex (Joyce), Lisa (Rob), Jennifer, Steven; great-grandchildren, James, Nichole and Joey. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; son, Ronald; and son-in-law, Thomas McKee.
The family will receive friends at the St. Ignatius Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio, 43616 on Thursday, January 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. Ignatius Church. The family would like to give a sincere thank you to Ohio Living Hospice for their compassionate care, especially, nurse Julia, aide Selena and Chaplain Tim and friend, Joann Gocsik for bringing Holy Communion to Adeline. Geraldine would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to James for taking such great care of his great grandmother.
