Agnes Kalasz, 94, of Findlay and formerly of Oregon , passed away Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010 at Findlay Hospice Care Center . She was born in Toledo , Ohio on April 20th, 1916 to Frank and Marie (Pinkava) Hudecek. In 1936, she married John Kalasz and he preceded her in death in 1976. Agnes was employed with Autolite for 25 years, retiring in 1963. She was a longtime member of St. Stephens Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society. Agnes was a longtime member of VFW 4906 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and baking. Agnes was a loving, generous, and giving person and enjoyed being around family.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Carol (Jack) Schreiner; granddaughter, Sherri (Rich) Jiannuzzi; great grandchildren, Amanda and Nicholas; sister-in-laws, Rose and Betty Hudecek. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Frank, Rudolph, and John, and sisters, Lillian Porkornik and Amelia 'œMolly' Carley.
Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Oregon on Friday from 3:00-8:00 pm where the rosary will be recited at 4:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 am Saturday with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to St. Stephens Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetry. Memorials may be directed to Bridge Hospice or Birchhaven Activities Fund E and F.
Visitation: Friday, 3:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Rosary at 4:00 p.m.
Services: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Church
Interment: Calvary Cemetery
