Agnes Stokes, 77, of Northwood, OH passed away September 6, 2005 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 15, 1928 to John and Elizabeth (Girven) Eadie. Agnes was employed for 60 years as a professional seamstress, most recently working for Distinctive Costumes on Monroe St. She was a member of the O.E.S. in Scotland and Toledo and the Toledo Scottish Clan. Surviving are her husband, Ernest A.; daughter, Denise B. (Jeff) Brown, Millbury, OH; son, John A. (Carol) Stokes, Sylvania, OH; grandchildren, Jeffrey Brown II, Kyle Brown and Madison Stokes. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 4-8 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Katrina Disaster Fund.
