Obituary

Albert E. Mickens III, 65, of Logan, OH and formerly of Toledo, OH passed away with his wife, Madonna Mickens on October 29, 2005 in Cuba, MO as the result of a traffic accident. He was born in Toledo, OH on February 28, 1940 to Erwin and Vera (Merren) Mickens. Mick was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Davis Business College. Mick had been employed as boiler operator at Toledo Edison for over 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Mick was an avid hunter and trap shooter. He enjoyed golfing and was a car enthusiast. Mick and Honey spent their winters in Arizona with their dog, "Sassy". Surviving are his children, Hope (Ray) Bachmayer, Craig (Connie) Mickens, Cynthia Mickens-Short and Anthony (Karen) Mickens; grandchildren, Ray and Nicole Bachmayer, Kyle Mickens, Joshua, Jessica and Jennifer Rainey, Danielle and Heather Mickens; great-grandchildren, Analicia Rodriguez, Starr Mickens and Riley Roughton; sister, Karen (Erv) Stevens-Weinmeister; best friend Gene "Shorty" Saunders; many nieces and nephews. Mick was preceded in death by his parents, Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday, November 3, 2005 from 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Mick's memory can be made to the Diabetes or Alzheimer Associations. Visitation: Visitation Times Thursday, 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Oregon Chapel
