Alberta "Jane" Simonis (Martin) died peacefully at Orchard Villa on Monday, September 4 in Oregon, Ohio at the age of 78.

Jane is survived by her husband Irving "Fritz" Simonis, her children Paul Martin, Candice (Dave) Jordan, Spring (Richard) Amerson, and Kari (Adam) Bonnell. She was proud of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, all of her siblings, and two of her children Thomas and Virginia.

Jane loved all things to do with family and words. Her siblings were her best friends and she loved having large meals with them and dancing to country music. Her love of words was shown in her hobbies which included reading, crossword puzzles, and her favorite thing to do at 7pm EVERY night – watching Wheel of Fortune.

Jane's family will have a private gathering granting her wishes for no services. Any donations can be made to Little Mary's Hospitality House in Wellston, Michigan where Jane and Fritz were the caretakers of families with terminally ill children for years.
