Alice A. Dunn, 97, of Curtice, OH passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born on July 18, 1907 in Clay Center, OH to Ferdinand and Bertha (Herkal) Reaman. Alice was a secretary at Interlake Iron in the 1930's, and later became vice-president and principal stockholder of Dunn Chevy Olds after her husband Cliff died, working there until she was 90 yrs. old. In her younger years, she was an avid horse lover and enjoyed riding and showing American Saddelbreds. She owned American Saddlebred horses for over 60 years and won many blue ribbons riding her favorite horse "Sweet Georgia Brown". She and her husband, Cliff, owned a number of world champion horses and could be found every summer traveling the entire country showing them. Alice also enjoyed bowling in Clay Center with her many friends. She was an avid sports fan and never missed her grand children's sporting events.
Surviving Alice are her sons, Tom J. (Judy), Toledo, OH and Jim C. (Karen), Oregon, OH; grandchildren, Greg (Amy) Dunn, Kurt Dunn, Kari (Eric) Markus, Amy Dunn, Andrea (Troy) Musselman, Jay Dunn and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff, parents, brother Walter, and sisters, Emma Johnson, Elsie Kersten and Lil Dier.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Friday, April 15, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, OH with interment following in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Alice's memory can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, OH or The Lutheran Home at Toledo.
