Alice M. Horvath, 83 of east Toledo passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Orchard Villa. Alice was born in Toledo on October 30, 1929 to Charles and Margaret (Tobak) Aszalos. On May 16, 1953 she married Joseph A. Horvath who preceded her in death in 2011. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and continued to be an active Alumnus. Alice owned and operated the Cake Craft; Alice'™s Bakery; Alice'™s Catering and Buzy Bee Quilts. She also worked for Airway Electric and the I.R.S. She was a member of St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 4906 and the Maumee Bay Quilt Guild. Surviving are the children Mary (Rance) Miller, Charles, Andrew, Joseph (Robin), Barbara (Thomas) Garey, Angela (Sadek) Abdelkader, David (Susie), and Stephen Horvath; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday from 3 pm until 9 pm and where the rosary will be recited at 4pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church, 1880 Genesse St. Toledo, Ohio and where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
