Alice Y. Sutphin, 78, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2007, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital.  Alice was born in Toledo on June 17, 1929, to Harold and Ruth (Hartranft) Kansorka.  Mrs. Sutphin was employed as the church secretary at Calvary Lutheran Church in Northwood.  She had previously been employed at Turner Brick Company and Joseph's Supermarket on Navarre Avenue.  She was a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church and the Fassett Street Group. Surviving are her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas "Mitch" Sutphin; daughters, Becky (Larry) Trover,  Debbie Turner, Melissa Hackim and Maddie Sutphin; son, Jeff (Sue) Sutphin; sisters, Phyllis Harpel and Nanci Burghart; brother, Bill Kansorka; grandchildren, Judy Prange, Kelly Theisen, Tommy and Mike Sutphin, Ginny and Rose Trover; great grandchildren, Jared, Jackson, Lea and Olivia. Friends may call in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, where visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 9 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 am in  Calvary Lutheran Church, Woodville at Bradner Roads.
