Alice M. Szabo, 89, of Oregon, Ohio peacefully passed away, as God took her hand on November 30, 2017 at Heartland of Oregon. She was born on May 26, 1928 to Esten and Margurite (Trondle) Slates. Alice worked at LOF for 30 years before retiring in 1983. She was an avid card player. Alice is survived by her children, Glenda Burnat, Walter (Judy) Burnat, Michael (Kathy) Burnat and Edward Burnat; siblings, Marge Laytart and Charles (Marie) Slates; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Szabo; parents; siblings, Lois Bower, Fred Slates, Allen Slates and Phyllis Knopp; and daughter in law, Sharon Burnat. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Tuesday, December 5 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Alice's name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
