Allen R. Grove, 81, of Northwood, OH passed away peacefully, Monday, August 19th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Allen was born October 8th, 1942, in Toledo, OH to Melvin and Lela Mae (LaLonde) Grove. He graduated from Macomber High School in 1961. Allen proudly served his Country in the United States Army as a Sergeant E5, during the Vietnam war where he was stationed in Germany. Allen married the love of his life, Marie (Norton) in 1965 and they recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Allen was employed with the Sun Oil Company retiring after 31 years. Allen enjoyed tinkering in his garage, taking care of his lawn, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Allen is survived by his wife Marie, daughters Michelle Winters-Boerst (Bob), Lisa (Earnie) Dickens, Melanie (Mark) Moore, Son Gregory (Raven); grandchildren Chelsea, Andrew (Marissa), Alyssa, Cole, Ella, Makayla, Carter, and Ryder; great grandchildren Noah and Addilyn. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Lela Grove, and brother Jack Gause.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 p.m at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy, Oregon, Ohio and where his funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio. The Family would like to thank the loving nurses at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg and a special shout out to the #1 aide, Clare.  Preferred memorials: Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
