Almira I. Jaegly, 85, passed away June 7, 2010 at Manor of Perrysburg. She was born in Brownsville, PA on January 7, 1925 to Emmett and Pearl (Lyons) McMillen. Almira was known for her wonderful baking, and had studied under a pastry chef in Detroit. Her specialty was cakes. Almira had baked numerous wedding cakes in the Toledo area. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Almira was also a member of the Rossford Eagles.
Surviving are her son, Bob (Peggy) Jaegly; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason and Rob; sister, Alice Crippen. Almira was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Jaegly; brothers, J.D. and Emmett and sister, Vera
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 pm at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Almira'™s memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
