Alta Fonner, 90, of Luckey, Ohio passed away in her residence on Saturday, November 28, 2009. She was born April 11, 1919, to Henry and Amelia (Baron) Mominee. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church Gibsonburg. Alta retired from the Kroger Company. She is survived by her children, Rosalie Agan, Phillip (Jean Mack) Fonner; grandchildren, Phillip Wayne Fonner, Shelly Matney, Karen Fonner, Denise Fonner, Deanne (Mike) Irvine; 17 great-grand-children; 20 great-great- grandchildren; brother, Howard Mominee; sister, Eleanor Labodie, Ruth Sanders, Angela (James) Zettner. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip; parents; granddaughter, Lori Randolph; son-in-law, Walter Agan; daughter-in-law, Venus Fonner; 10 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury on Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Alta's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg.
