Alvin J.'Al' Everhardt, 78, of Curtice, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Everhardt was born in Toledo on January 8, 1932 to William and Irene (Cover) Everhardt. Alvin was employed as a realtor and broker for 24 years. During his career he became owner and broker of Melle Realty and developed Park Gelande in Oregon. Prior to working as a realtor, Mr. Everhardt was employed as a mechanic at Moore Ford. Al enjoyed nature and spent much time camping, boating, and fishing. He and Kathy would enjoy spending winters in Florida and driving around in his '™92 red Chrysler convertible. Al was always there, at a drop of a hat, for his four daughters. With his ornery smile and puckered lips, ready for a kiss, he was always ready to help the family he loved so deeply. Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Katherine 'œKathy'; loving daughters ('œHis Harem'), Debra Jean (Scott) Gosch, Diana Lynn (John) King, Denise Ann Karcsak, Dawn Marie Avers; brother, Larry (Donna) Everhardt; sister, Elaine Hanely : 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Terry Lee Everhardt. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. So he closed his arms around you And whispered 'œCome to Me'. Coy Road on Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston.
