Alvydas D. Cizauskas, 70, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on February 17, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with his loving wife by his side. Al was born in Nürntingen, Germany on November 27, 1946 to Domas and Valerja (Savatsks) Cizauskas. Al served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force and then went on to obtain his Associates degree while working as a police officer in Marquette, Michigan. After his service Al worked at Chrysler for 32 years before his retirement. He was an active member of the VFW Post 9963 where he served as Vice Commander of the men's auxiliary, as well as the American Legion Post 82 in Florida and FOE 2236 Rossford Chapter. Al was also a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Al enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, playing pool, euchre and cribbage, but what he loved most was spending time traveling with his wife Ann.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Hannah-Cizauskas; children, Dominic, Kimberly (Darren), Gary (Shawna), Kim (Gary), Lisa (Greg) 9 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; and long time friend Arnie Parsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carolyn and 4 brothers.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm with VFW services at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Al's name may be directed to American Cancer Society.
