Obituary

Ammon Litton, 89, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, surrounded by his family. Ammon was born on April 23, 1924 in Wheelwright, Kentucky to Richard and Julie (Hall) Litton. Ammon was an Army veteran of Word War II. On May 25, 1942, he married Cynthia Mae Steele. Ammon was employed with Local 7 as a painter for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He was an ordained minister and enjoyed playing gospel music. Ammon enjoyed playing guitar, mandolin, and especially the banjo. He passed down his love for music to his children and grandchildren. Ammon is survived by his children; Pansy Litton, Larry Litton, Ruth Burnette, Randall (Shari) Litton, Patricia (Hugh) Betts, Danny Litton, and Teresa (Brad) Allgier; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013 from 2:00 pm-9:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer'™s Association.
