Andrew 'œButch' Bochi Jr., 90, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 in Orchard Villa. He was born in Detroit, MI on January 20, 1924 to Andrew Sr. and Kathryn (Priszak) Bochi. Butch was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was employed as a steelworker at Gulf Oil Refinery for 31 years. Butch was a member of Epiphany of the Lord ��" St. Stephen'™s Church, the VFW Post 4906, Local Union 346. He loved fishing and spending time with his family at their Black Lake Cottage.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane (Gottfried) of 60 years; sons, Robert (Dianne), David (Donna), Andrew, James (Annie) Bochi; grandchildren, Michael Bochi, Monica (Jason) Dudley, Sarah (Erik) Meiner, Andrew Bochi IV, Katie Bochi and Dana (Luke) Kamelesky; great grandchildren, Hailey, Gia, Kelsey and Luke; sisters, Gizella and Elizabeth Bochi; brother, Joseph (Marian); and many nieces and nephews. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Rosemary.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 2-9 p.m. with VFW services at 7:00 p.m. The family will greet friends at Epiphany of the Lord ��" St. Stephen'™s Church on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 9:00 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be directed to Epiphany of the Lord ��" St. Stephen'™s Church or St. Jude'™s Children'™s Hospital. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Orchard Villa and Southern Care Hospice.
