Angela Denise McVicker (Donaldson), 57, of Genoa, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2026. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, with the loving support and care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Angela was born on March 4, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, and was adopted by Marilyn Joyce and Danny Ray Donaldson, who raised her in Genoa, Ohio, alongside her little brother Dane. A lifelong resident of the Genoa area, Angela often reminisced about the friendships and memories she made growing up on Meadow Drive-you know who you are.

Angela graduated from Genoa Area High School with the Class of 1987 and later attended Bowling Green State University. Throughout her life, she built an impressive career and was known for her strong work ethic, leadership, and ability to make a lasting impression wherever she went. She spent many years working for The Andersons, served as Controller at McVicker Concrete and Excavating, and held management positions with Tractor Supply Company, where she was generously recognized for her leadership. She also worked as a Realtor with iLink Real Estate and as a Planogrammer at Home Depot.

Most recently, Angela served as Store Manager at Boot Barn in Perrysburg, where she truly found a way to make an impact. She took great pride in making a good first impression and had an unmatched ability to make people feel welcome. Her leadership, work ethic, kindness, and genuine care for others made her beloved by coworkers, friends, and even people she had only just met. Angela had a contagious laugh, a generous heart, and a natural ability to offer wisdom, encouragement, and words of advice when someone needed them most. She had a way of putting others before herself and making people feel like they mattered.

Angela loved life and knew how to have a good time. She was the life of the party and could always be counted on to bring laughter and fun wherever she went. She was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns and never missed an opportunity to cheer on her teams.

Later in life, Angela was blessed to reconnect with her biological family. Through that connection, she gained a biological mother and father, two sisters, several nephews and a niece. She shared an especially unbreakable bond with her sister Krystal, and some of their favorite memories were simply singing and dancing together in the kitchen, exactly the kind of moments Angela treasured most.

The Heilman family held a very special place in Angela's heart. They were not only dear friends, but a fundamental part of Angela and her children's lives. She loved them as her own and was grateful for the many memories they shared. Within that family, her best friend Patty held an especially meaningful place in her heart. Angela and Patty stood by each other through thick and thin, sharing life's joys, challenges, laughter, and tears. Their friendship was a lasting bond built on love, loyalty, and unwavering support.

Above all else, Angela was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her children were the center of her world and her greatest source of pride. She poured her heart into raising her daughters, supporting them through every stage of life, and celebrating their accomplishments and milestones. She was also incredibly fond of the people her daughters chose to share their lives with, and she was so proud of the partners who stood beside her girls. She was grateful to know that each of her daughters had someone who loved, supported, and cared for them, and she welcomed them into her heart and family with open arms. Her love for her daughters was unconditional, unwavering, and evident in everything she did. Becoming a grandmother brought her another special kind of joy, and she treasured every moment with her grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and took great pride in watching her children and grandchildren grow.

She was the proud mother of three daughters: Ashley McVicker (Andrew Janney) of Genoa, Ohio; Katlyn McVicker (Garrett Brooks) of Gibsonburg, Ohio; and Kendall McVicker (Douglas Kaiser) of Swanton, Ohio.

She was a beloved grandmother to seven grandchildren: Payton Thomas, Jasmine Thomas, Raul Jaso, Eli Janney (Abigail Stukenborg), Bennett Janney, Wyatt Janney, and Penelope Janney.

Angela is also survived by her siblings, Dane Donaldson (Jennifer) of Medina, Ohio, Krystal Finfrock of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Hope Grewe (Greg) of New Carlisle, Ohio; nephews Ryder and Tanner Donaldson, Blake Finfrock, Zachary and Nicholas Falkenstein; niece Briana Finfrock; her biological father, Joe Farias of Findlay, Ohio; and a plethora of cousins and lifelong friends who were blessed to know and love her.

She also leaves behind her beloved furry companion, Sage, who was never far from her side.

Angela's former husband, Chad McVicker, also survives her. Although their marriage ended, they remained lifelong friends and shared an enduring bond built through their love for their children. Together, they loved their daughters fiercely and remained an important part of one another's lives.

Angela was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Marilyn and Danny Donaldson; her biological mother, Deborah Lester (Chapin); and her grandparents, Clyde and Edith (Smith) Fries.

Angela's life was defined by the people she loved, the lives she touched, and the countless memories she left behind. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, her generous heart, her fierce love for her family, her ability to make anyone feel welcome, and her unwavering determination to make the most of life.

Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave will continue through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, Ohio 43447. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the service at the Genoa Fire Hall, 101 E. 6th St., Genoa, Ohio 43430.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Angela's memory.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
