Anita M. Hickman, 81, of Oregon, Ohio passed away August 9, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Green Bank, W.V. on May 20, 1930 to Russell and Lucy (Hudson) Crowley. Anita volunteered at the St. Charles Hospital Gift Shop for 25 years and also at the Lutheran Home at Toledo for 3 years. She was an election poll worker for over 30 years. Anita was an avid quilter and a member of the 'œStitch & Bitch Club'. She awaits the return of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Surviving are her daughter, Cheri (Butch) Burkhart; son, Dennis (Pat) Hickman; brother, Clyde (Margaret) Crowley; grandchildren, Steffanie (Kevin) Sawmiller, Heather Moser, SSG John (Amanda) Hickman and Gabriel Hickman; great grandchildren, Christopher, Madison, Phoebe, Kelly and Kristi. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E., brothers, Merle, Jarrett and Ward; sisters, Evelyn, Estelle and Delores. There will be no visitation and services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lutheran Home at Toledo or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
