Ann Marie Gadus, 81, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Heartland of Oregon, surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 14, 1931 to Walter and Veronica (McManus) Bain. Ann was raised in Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where she attended grade school. In 1949, she graduated from Central Catholic High School. On January 19, 1952, she married Leonard Gadus at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Ann and Leonard were lifelong members of Holy Rosary Parish, where Ann was active in the Mother'™s Guild and Altar Rosary Society. Her hobbies included cooking meals and crocheting blankets for family and friends. Ann will be remembered for her generous spirit. For many years, Ann and Leonard were volunteers for Meals on Wheels. Her true passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren who brought her much joy. Ann is survived by her children; Leonard (Dawn) Gadus, Michael (Rose) Gadus, Mary Vibbard and Carolyn Stafford; grandchildren, Theresa Gadus, Rose (Andrew) Traxler, Michael Gadus Jr., Martin (Katie) Bihn, David Bihn, Katherine Stafford, and Richie Vibbard III; and great-grandson, Richie Vibbard IV. Ann is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; brothers, Father Thomas Bain, James Bain; sisters, Patricia Creps, and Mary Scheanwald; and son-in-law, Richard Vibbard Jr. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, November 19th from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm where a scripture service will be conducted at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 20th at 11:00 am in Good Shepherd Catholic Church where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
