Ann Marie "Sue" Miller, 69, of Oregon, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2005, in her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Miller was born in Toledo on October 24, 1935, daughter of Robert and Eunice (Bockbrader) Lautzenheiser. Stepmother Agnes Dawn Powers raised Sue after Eunice's death when Sue was only one year old. Sue was preceded in death by brother, Robert Lautz Jr. Surviving siblings are James Lautz and Judith DePetris.
A 1953 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, Sue also graduated from the University of Toledo with a business degree and teaching certificate. She married Jack Warren Miller in 1958. Sue's life centered around their children, Diane (Paul) Grasso, Michael (Lori), Steven (Cassie), Elizabeth (Bob) Knisel, David (Kim) and Scott (Linnet). Grandchildren include Dana, Shannon, Rachel, Aaron, Christopher, Taylor, Alana and Jack. Stepgrandchildren include Amanda, Rob, Kelly, Adam and Kyle. Step great grandchildren are Bryce, Colin, and David. Sue was known for her love of family and friends as well as her active volunteer life as a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. Sue was a bookkeeper at Renhill Employment for many years.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Jack, and all of her children,grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may visit from 2 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Scripture services will be at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas Church for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Lung Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
