Anna J. York, 88, of Toledo, Ohio passed away August 22, 2010 in her home. She was born in O'™Brien, TX on November 10, 1921 to Robert and Anna (Lambert) Johnston. Anna was a member of the former Second Baptist Church. Mrs. York was employed as a secretary at the Toledo Girl Scout offices for 10 years. She was also a past member of the East Toledo Democratic Club, and the Navarre School Mothers Club. Surviving are her children, Melanie (William) Nesper, Randall (Cynthia) and Bradley (Kathy) York; sister, LaUna (Alton) Hester; grandchildren, Jennifer York, Adrienne (Louis Hunyor) Nesper, Kristin Nesper, Beth Nesper and Grayson York; great grandchild, Annabelle Hunyor. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; sisters, Robbie (Robert) Fail and Joyce Levy. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday from 4 until 8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 am with interment following in Toledo Memorial Park.
