Anthony J. "Anti" Komives Sr., 73, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on January 18, 1936, to Antone and Mary (Fuleky) Komives. He was employed as a die setter with Perrysburg Machine and Tool for 20 years, retiring in 2001. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was active with the National Guard upon his discharge. Tony was a member of the U.A.W., played fast-pitch softball and enjoyed watching western and war movies. Surviving are his sons, Anthony J. Jr. (Barbara), Harold and Robert Komives; daughters, Tina (Dave) Ross, Connie (Craig) Mickens and Carrie (John) Lint; step-children, Joe and Kim; brothers, Ron (Marlyn) and William Komives; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Ann Martindale; wife, Sherry and grandson, Brian. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Sunday, December 13, 2009, from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with interment following at North Oregon Cemetery.
