Antoinette M. Nenno, 84, formerly of east Toledo, OH passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2005 in St. Anne Mercy Hospital. Her journey on earth ended peacefully with her caring family at her side. Antoinette was born in Toledo on December 1, 1920 to Teresina and Benjamin Calipetro. She married Warren, her husband of 57 years, on October 9, 1948 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in north Toledo. She also was a long time parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and it's Altar and Rosary Society. Antoinette was currently a member of the Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament in west Toledo.
Antoinette, along with her mother-in-law, Cecelia Nenno and Carme Reihring of St. Thomas Church, cooked and fed the poor and underprivileged in the 1950's. During the 1960's, she cooked for the Provincial of the Oblates of St. Francis and during the 1970's she was the cook for the Toledo Yacht Club.
Surviving are her loving husband, Warren; children, Theresa (Leslie) Declercq and George (Stephanie) Nenno; grandchildren, Michael and Andrea Declercq; sister, Mary Krompak; brothers, Louis "Larry" (Norah) Colapietro and Anthony (Dorothy) Sargenti. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank (Virginia), James (Anna) and Leo Calipetro and brother-in-law, Steve (Pookie) Krompak.
Friends and family may visit at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home 3000 Sylvania Ave., between Douglas and Secor, on Sunday, June 26, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral home at 9:30 am on Monday with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 am in the Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Interment will take place in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Ann's family extends their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley funeral homes, Ansberg-West funeral home and the nurse's and staff of St. Anne Mercy Hospital for all their compassionate and caring services during this most difficult time.
