Obituary

Antonio Montez, 77, of South Toledo, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Lutheran Home at Toledo. Antonio was born in Texas on July 5, 1928, to Magaleno and Andrea (Caverrada) Montez. He had worked for St. Vincent Mercy Hospital as a custodian. Antonio was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Antonio loved his wife, Maria and his 13 children, he loved his Mexican music, but most of all he loved to play his drums and accordion and sing and dance. He lived a full life and will be missed by everyone that knew him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria; sons, Joseph, Ricardo, Daniel (Victoria), Robert (Cindy) and Guadalupe (Angie) Montez; daughters, Juanita Collins, Andrea Montez, Ms. Evangelina Villalon, Angelita (Manuel) Ramirez, Maria (Jose) Granada, Aurora Montez, Rebecca (Eliazar) Valdez and Victoria Montez; 50 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bravo Sanchez, Porfedio and Juan Montez, and sister, Maria Montez. Antonio was preceded in death by his parents; son, Simon; granddaughter, Amy Montez and sons-in-law, Mark Collins and Jesse Villalon Sr. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday, April 27, 2006, from 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-9 p.m. where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. and proceed to St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family. Visitation: Visitation Times Thursday, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. & Friday, 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Oregon Chapel
