Antonio Vallejo Jr., 74 of south Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, with his family by his side. Antonio was born in Asherton, Texas on June 17, 1948 to Antonio and Rita (Duran) Vallejo Sr. Antonio graduated from Libbey High School in 1967. Antonio was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War from 1969-1970 as a combat medic. He retired from Chrysler Jeep Corporation in 1999 after 30 years.
Antonio loved spending time with his family and friends at gatherings and cook outs. He was an avid softball player for various local teams. He loved to work out, music, movies, cars, Martial Arts, and he was a life long Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.
Surviving are his loving wife, Maria of 51 years; children, Angela, Raquel, Michael, Deanna (Raymond) Cunningham, Gabriel, and Jacob. 10 grandchildren; Marcus Jr., Martina (Sidney) Slater, Monique, Ramiro, Gabriel Angel, Raymond, Emillo, David, Gabriella, Caleb, and 6 great-grandchildren; Marquez, Cianna, Marcus, Za'Niya, Amarianna, and Saleigha. Siblings; Abel Vallejo, Alvaro Vallejo Sr., Macaria (Manuel) Zapata, Anna Maria (Rick) Garza, Blanca Perales, Alfredo (Elvira) Vallejo, Alamar (Jesse) Ruiz. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew Alvaro Vallejo Jr.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 17, from 2:00 – 8:00 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, at 11:00 am, visitation starts at 9:00. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
