Arlene M. DeCant, 77, of Oregon, Ohio passed away January 13, 2008 at Orchard Villa. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 4, 1930 to Arthur and Gretchen (Thiesen) Schwan. Arlene had been employed as a medical secretary by the Family Medical Center, retiring in 1978.   Surviving are her sons, David DeCant, Gary (Sharon) DeCant and Jeffrey DeCant; grandchildren, Kimberly, Holly, Shane, Jessica, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Shannon and Shylah; great grandchildren, Kelsee, Kaylee, Kevin, Austin, Shawn, Jimmy, Haley and Taylor; brother, Arthur (Rose) Schwan and sister, Janet (Jon) Murray. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman and daughter, Cindy DeCant.  There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Arlenes memory are asked to consider Memorial United Church of Christ or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
