Arlene L. Walczak, 66, of Oregon, OH passed away May 9, 2005 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 10, 1938 in Toledo, OH to Edward and Helen (Knakiewicz) Zaborowski. Arlene was a para professional employed by the Toledo Public Schools as a vision and hearing screener. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, the Salesian Club and loved gardening, fishing on Lake Erie and baking Polish pastries.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Damian; daughters, Andrea Walczak, Lisa (Todd) Walczak-Music and Kathleen Walczak; granddaughter, Kelsey Walczak-Music; sisters, Delphine Zielaskowski, Dorothy (Chester) Wnorowski and Barbara Pilatowsk; many nieces, nephews and a host of special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Dolores Piotrowski and Deanne Zapiecki.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to Holy Rosary Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Arlene's memory can be made to Heartbeat of Toledo or the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Arlene's family extends special thanks to Hospice of NW Ohio for all their gentle and loving care.
