Arthur C. Byrd, 86, of Toledo passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo. Mr. Byrd was born in Toledo on November 9, 1922 to William and Athelia (Reed) Byrd. Arthur was employed for F.W. Galliers for 15 years before his retirement in 1993. He was preceded in death by his wife. Artis V. (Strausbaugh) Byrd in 2007. Surviving are his brother and sisters in law, Charles and Helen Strausbaugh and Ellen Strausbaugh. Funeral services and interment will be conducted on Monday, August 31, 2009 beginning at 1:00 pm in the mausoleum at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Arthur's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
