Arthur H. Dewey, 79, of Oak Harbor, Ohio passed away Monday, September 7, 2009, in Heartland of Oregon. Mr. Dewey was born in Sandusky, Ohio on May 6, 1930, to Joseph and Frieda (Steffenhagen) Dewey. Arthur was a US Navy veteran. He was employed as a dredge operator for the Army Corp of Engineers for many years. He would also serve as a security guard in the Port Clinton area. Mr. Dewey was a member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his children, Bonny (Naim) Yapragigur, Patricia (Jerry) Kihlken, Michael (Tamara) Dewey; brother, Joseph (Victoria) Dewey; grand-children, Scott (Megan) Smithers, Sandra (Paul) Strzesynski, April Costen, Tamra and Joey Lemble, Michael, Eric, Tara, Taylor and Marc Dewey and 8 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Carol Jean Lemble. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon where visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park.
