Arthur R. Hackmann passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2007 at the age of 84. He served his country during World War II in the Navy from 1942-1946 and was employed for 34 years at Libbey-Owens-Ford Co. in Rossford, OH, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed playing golf and shuffleboard both at his winter home in Florida and here in Toledo. Arthur was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 yrs., Lillian, who passed away in June of last year.
He will be greatly missed by his children Jack (Terrie Jordan) of Redmond, WA and Bonnie (Michael) McMahon of Oregon; grandchildren Aimee Economides of Redmond, WA, Brad McMahon of Columbus, and Ryan (Jennifer) McMahon of Oregon; great-grandchildren Emma and Spencer Economides; brothers-in-law Joseph Ratasky of Temperance, MI and Jerry Ratasky of Swartz Creek, MI along with nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, between 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH. The family requests that any memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
