Obituary

Arthur Eugene Miller, 86, of Oregon, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Lane Park. Art was born in Toledo on July 19, 1931 to Arthur C. and Cecilia (Blum) Miller. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Art worked for the Chessie, CSX Railroad Systems for 42 years where he retired in 1992. Art was a member and served on the board of the James Hancock Senior Center in Oregon and was also a board member of the YMCA East where he was very active and supporting. Surviving are his children, Diana Miller, Cindy Andrews Frost, Mark Andrews; grandchildren, Reed, Mark Jr., Shannon, and Danielle, also surviving are great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Art was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Sylvester "Bud" Kwiatkowski and sister, Sylvia Fouty. Visitation will be held on Monday Oct. 30 from 4-8 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Art's memory are asked to consider Southern Care Hospice. Art's family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the nurses and staff at Lane Park for the love and care given to Art while he made his home there for the past 2 years.
