IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arthur Clinton
Purtee Iii
December 15, 1983 – May 19, 2024
Arthur "Artie" Purtee III, 40, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family Sunday, May 19, 2024 after a long, tough, and courageous battle with ALS. Artie was born December 15, 1983, in Toledo, Ohio.
A Waite High School graduate of 2002, Artie worked at Hammill Medical but later retired. He enjoyed the great outdoors and maybe a little bit of gaming. He loved boating, jet skiing, watching the waves roll in and his loved ones. Artie was a pro at disc golf and perch fishing. He loved and cherished his deer hunting trips to Henry County with his family and boat fishing trips with his family and friends.
Online, Artie dominated games like God of War, Clash of Clans, Call of Duty, and GTA. But his greatest joy was goofing around and making memories with his loved ones. It wasn't just online games Artie was good at, he was good at board games too, but most of all Artie was good at being a dad, a son, a brother, an uncle, and an amazing friend.
Artie is survived by his daughter, Hayden; mother, Melinda (Marty) Veller; father, Arthur Purtee II.; siblings, Bryan (Brittany) Purtee, Christopher (Lauren) Purtee, and Sammantha (Andy) Adams; niece, Leah; nephews, Christopher Jr. and Bryson; dear friend, Scottie (Amanda) Mendoza; along with many loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Al & Shirley Prince & Arthur & Millie Purtee.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 2:00 pm until funeral service at
