Arthur R. "Art" Reynolds, 77, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on August 14, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Art was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on February 18, 1940 to Claude and Delphia (Hackney) Reynolds. Art and his late wife of 50 years, Diane, owned and operated the Curtice Hy-Flash for 50 years. He had a passion for traveling, visiting all 50 states, as well as Europe several times over the years. Art enjoyed hunting all over the country, especially his yearly trip to Colorado with many good friends and his brother. He enjoyed giving back to his community whether it was hosting his annual wild game dinners or putting in a good word to an employer for many of his friends. Art was a history buff and enjoyed telling stories of how things came about in our country. The one thing that was always a constant in Art's life was owning the Curtice Hy-Flash, a gas station/tavern, which he was always working. He was a great man that would give the shirt off his back for anyone and will truly be missed. Art is survived by his son, Philip Reynolds; granddaughters, Sarah (Don) Satkowski, Erica (Jeremy Wheeler) Reynolds, Amy Reynolds, Megan (Nathan) Hermes; grandson, Chad Reynolds; 5 great-grandchildren, brother, John (Eva) Reynolds and Dan (Ocie) Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diane and sons, Art Jr. and Roger Reynolds. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Art's name may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
