Arthur 'œDonald Duck' Schott, 78, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL on December 17, 1932 to Joseph and Lucille Schott. Art was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed for 34 years by the Illinois Bell Company where he specialized in 'œtrouble shooting' phone problems throughout the Chicago area. He retired in 1992. Arthur was an active member of the Blissfield Model Railroad Club and a member of the Bell Pioneers Club. His 'œDonald Duck' sounds brought joy to all who heard it, particularly children.
Surviving are his loving wife, Olive (Shepard); sons, Arthur J., Paul, John and Patrick Schott; daughter, Cecelia Fell; step daughter, Beth (David) Waite; brother, Robert Schott; grandchildren, Sarah Schott, Kyle and Kevin Waite. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Joseph Jr. and daughters, Loretta and Mary Ann Schott.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Saturday, February 12, 2011 beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Arthur'™s memory may be made to the Blissfield Model Railroad Club.
