August M. Lazur, 90, of Toledo, OH passed away Saturday, December 23, 2006 in The Manor at Perrysburg. He was born on August 7, 1916 in Toledo, OH to John and Anna (Gyuricsko) Lazur. August was a World War II Air Force Veteran. He was employed by LOF, Plant 4, for 35 years retiring in 1975. August was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church where he served on the council for many years. He also was an avid church bingo worker and player.  August loved gardening and taking care of his  pear and peach trees.   Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Helen; daughter, Linda (Gean) Grosschedl; sisters, Mary Szegedi and Ann Koralewski; grandchildren, David (Michelle), Matthew (Michelle) and Daniel (Kristen); great-grandchildren, Liam, Maeve and Brenna. Also many nieces and nephews survive. August was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Laurie Ann and brothers, John, Emery, Joseph and William Lazur.   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 1-4 pm & 6-9 pm at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel with a Parastas service  at 7 pm.. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 10 am and proceed to St. Michael's for Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial  at 10:30 am..  Interment will take place at a later date in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in August's name can be made to St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church.
