Barbara Ann Clapsaddle, 69, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away at 1:45, Tuesday morning, November 13, 2007, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born on December 16, 1937, in Toledo, Ohio to David and Maxine Dickey. Barbara married Edward Clapsaddle on January 27, 1962. She was a devoted full time wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Barbara was very physically active. She swam and walked 4-6 times a week. Her other hobbies included tap-dancing, travel, painting, gardening and landscaping. Barbara was a very generous, caring and vivacious person. She loved life and loved people. Surviving are her husband, Edward; daughter, Denise (David) Sousa, and grandchildren, Lidia and Anatoly, all of Torrington, Connecticut; son, David (Shellie) and grandchildren, Kathryn, Christine, Charles and Jonathan, all of Paulding. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Friday, November 16, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance, Ohio at 4:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Barbara's memory may be made to the American Heart Association. www.egglestonmeinert.com
