Barbara Horvath, 91, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on July 31, 2003 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on October 4, 1911 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Barbara (Vasko) Kristoff. Barbara was employed as an assembler for Libbey Owens Ford for 34 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4906.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, John Andrew Horvath, parents, and sister, Gizella Kristoff. Surviving are her nephew, John Kristoff and niece, Eva Szegedi of Hungary; special friends, Barbara Lavender and Rose Molnar; cousins, Joseph Slivinski, FL, Lola Slivinski and Marlene Buffy, both of Toledo, OH.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2003 from 2-8 p.m. at the Kinsey Funeral Home, Birmingham Chapel, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo, Ohio with recitation of the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. and proceed to St. Stephen Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
