Barbara M. Leach, 71, formerly of East Toledo passed away on January 24, 2004 at Arbors of Oregon . She was born December 4, 1932 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Harry and Christina (Ludgate) Lusch. She was a graduate of Central Catholic H.S. and a member of Good Shepherd Church. Barbara worked for St. Charles Hospital as a switchboard operator and then worked for ETCO as a secretary. She left her job to care for her husband, Carl who passed away in 1996. Barbara was a football fanatic and Michigan had a special place in her heart. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Kateri (Bruce) Blair, Sandra (Jack) Damron and Sheila (Ray) Knight; sister, Margaret (John) Edberg; brother, Robert (Sharon) Lusch; grandchildren, Shannon (David), Nicholas, Todd, Katerina, Kyle, Amanda, Jacob, Wade, Christina, Cheryl; great-granddaughter, Carlie and many nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Belle Mills. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2004 from 2 until 9 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon with a scripture service at 7 PM. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 10:15a.m. on Tuesday and proceed to Good Shepherd Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
