Barbara Joyce (Suprise) Millinger, of Elmore, Ohio passed peacefully with her family around her at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on December 17, 2004. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 20, 1938 to James and Florence (Parish) Suprise. Barbara was employed by Lion Store as a sales clerk for 34 years. She was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Millbury, Ohio and was active with the Red Hat Club. Barbara loved spending time with her family, camping and traveling with her husband Daniel.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel and his family; sons, Mark Harpel, Eric Frank; daughter, Tamara Fackler; grandchildren, Melissa Harpel, Crystal Harpel, Elizabeth Harpel, and Brian Burchett; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Vanessa , and Philip; sisters, Theresa Hart and Jeannine Lassiter. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and her special birthday nephew Scott Habel. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph Surprise.
She always tired to make a difference in the lives of others and although family and friends lost Barbara, her love goes on in the lives of her family. A special thank you to the nurses of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to The Zepp Center or Unison Center. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 22, 2005 in St. Peters United Chhurch of Christ 28505 Main St. Millbury, Ohio with Rev. Ken Heintzelman officiating. Graveside services will be private. Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Homes are handling the arrangements.
