Barbara (Berry) Najmi, 80, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 3, 2023. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 17, 1943 to Floyd Berry and Virginia Payne. While Barb's youth and young adulthood presented challenges, she overcame them and had a long, successful career with the American Red Cross. Her favorite past time was making her grandchildren blush with her outrageous comments and she was a self labeled Sexy Senior Citizen who loved her family fiercely.

She is survived by her sister, Rebecca Keena; brother, Floyd Berry Jr; son, Tim (Sheila Breiding) Brown; grandchildren, Nichole (David) Olmos, Salma Hissem, Azra Zunnoor, Akmal (Nat Smith) Zunnoor, Moeen Zunnoor, Najima Zunnoor, Joshua Brown, Jordan Brown, Bryan (Teresa Burkhardt) Wagener, Kerrnon (Toren Hoffee) Moore, Britan Moore, Anthony Leonard, Tim (Sariah) Brown, Patrick Brown, Bailey (Kelly Pearson) Brown; and multiple great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Berry; sister, Bonnie Simmons; daughters, Linda Zunnoor and Lori Rivera; and son, Dave Brown Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Friday, December 8, 2023 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, with a short visitation beforehand, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Barb's name may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The family is requesting anyone attending visitation and services to please wear a mask.
