Barbara Settle passed into eternal rest on the afternoon of Sunday, January 7, 2007 at St. Vincent  Mercy Medical Center in Toledo . Barbara was born on January 27, 1927 in Tuscarawas County , Ohio to George and Estella Peoples. Barbara graduated in 1945 from Newcomerstown High school . On March 23, 1948 she married James M. Baugher. They raised two children, Michael Baugher and Laura (Baugher) Allen. They were married until 1965. In November, 1976 Barbara married Robert Settle and formed a combined family of six children. Robert Settle passed away February 23, 1995 in Toledo , Ohio .  In 2000, Barbara met her fiancé and soul mate, Earl Guy. Again, Barbara extended her family to a total of 5 daughters, 5 sons, 20 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.  Barbara was greatly treasured by her family who came together every year at her home on Lake Erie . Her children and grandchildren are left with many wonderful memories of their grandmother/mother.  Barbara was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. She served on the stewardship committee and in various other capacities. Barbara will be remembered by all who knew her for her outgoing and bubbly personality. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, 4 brothers, 8 sisters, and her husband Robert. She is survived by her fiancé, Earl Guy, Curtice, OH; her sons, Michael (Bonnie) Baugher, Louisville, KY, Eric (Judy) Settle, Jackson, MO, Brad (Barbara) Settle, Tanzania, Africa, Bart (Dani) Guy and Rodney Guy of Toledo, OH; her daughters Laura (Don) Baugher Allen,Carlsbad, NM, Rita (Rollie) Settle Yoder, Bremen, IN, Jeanette (Robert) Settle Masters, Bowerston, OH, Colleen (Bob) Guy Gottschalk, Toledo, OH, Jeryl (Michael) Guy Todd, FL. Barbara's survivors also include her 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church 17877 West St. Rt. 579, Martin , OH 43445 on Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 11 am until the funeral service time at 1 pm.   Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery .
